West. (We just thought Shield Funding had a better ring to it than Ascendancy Corp.!) In California, and for any business loans involving California-based companies, we operate as Ascendancy Corp. West, a California-registered foreign entity. Our original name wasn’t available in California, so we took on the “West” moniker due to state-specific requirements. This structure complies with regulations set forth by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) under the California Finance Lenders Law. Both Ascendancy Corp. and Ascendancy Corp. West strictly adhere to business loan brokering laws and regulations across all 50 states.
